Abstract

This research aims to know the activities offered by the homestays’ owners to increase the occupancies of the homestays, the impacts of the activies offered and the comforts provided toward customers satisfactions.    The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and the test of the correlations precessed by using SPSS 16.0 for Windows toward data got from the respondents answers. The type of this research is causality research that analyze how a variable influences other variable, where  the variabel independent variables will be controlled by the resercher to see the impacts to the dependent variabel. The independent variables are activities offered by the homestays and the homestays’ comforts and the dependent variables are customers satisfactions. The researcher involved 100 customers of the 9 homestays as the research objects, and 9 owners/managers of the homestays. The research shows that the owners/managers of the homestays have been doing some activities that make the customers interested in enjoying, such as doing traditional dancing together even some homestays wear the customers the traditional uniforms, playing music and also offering cooking class, wood carving, knitting and farming class, eventhough only some homestays still offer some of the activities. All the activities offered by the homestays’ owners have positive impact in middle category toward customers satisfactions. It shows that the owners/managers of the homestays have not been doing the activities maximally. The comforts of the hoemstays have high impacts towards customers satisfactions. From here we can see that the owners/managers of the homestays have been giving comfortable atmosphere to the customers.
