Abstract

Geopark is one form of sustainable development that applies to regional development, namely making the territorial benefits of a geopark area as an economic source. The concept of geopark management is a sustainable regional development plan that combines the four geodiversity, biodiversity, geoheritage, and cultural diversity systems to build local communities. Utilization of geoparks can be synergized with existing regional spatial plans. Utilization of geopark spatial planning can generate new economic opportunities around the Danao Toba area through geoparks providing many job opportunities in the tourism industry and tourism managers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of caldera geopark tourism destinations on the development of the Lake Toba area in North Tapanuli Regency. The analytical method used in this research is multiple regression analysis with the number of respondents as many as 100 people. The results showed that attractions, accessibility, amenities and facilities have a positive and significant effect on the development of the Lake Toba area
