ATTITUDE AND PARTICIPATION OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF UNDISAN VILLAGE AS A TOURISM VILLAGE IN TEMBUKU DISTRICT, BANGLI REGENCY, BALI PROVINCE

Abstract

Undisan Village offers a lot of uniqueness besides its beautiful natural scenery, as well as the uniqueness of the original Balinese traditional house according to the famous Asta Kosala Kosali. There is also a site that is believed to be a relic of the past which is often used as a means of spiritual practice for Hindus or people who crave inner peace. Tangkup Waterfall, which is located in the Subak Strait, offers a very natural feel and fresh air is another tourist attraction. It is believed that the water from the Tangkup waterfall is efficacious for curing several diseases because the gushing water emerges from a rock cliff that resembles the figure of a person sitting in meditation. Another potential that Undisan Tourism Village has is the existence of a place for crafting sponge flowers and imitation flowers of gold and silver which can be witnessed and visited by foreign tourists. These jewelry are widely used for traditional ceremonial equipment in Bali and mostly sent to the city of Denpasar. In addition, around the Undisan Tourism Village there is a wide and beautiful expanse of rice fields combined with mountainous nature, forests and is very suitable for nature-based tourism activities. Welcoming the issuance of PERBUP number 15 of 2014 Bangli Regency which includes Undisan Village in Tembuku District as one of the Tourism Villages, the Undisan Village community wants Undisan Tourism Village to develop into an attractive tourist village for tourists to visit and hopes that the determination of the status of Tourism Village can improve living standards to a better way. The Undisan Tourism Village community has also formed a Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) and has been approved by the Bangli Regency Government
